What is Polartec® Alpha® Direct?

Not just fleece. It’s a high-performance fabric originally developed for US special forces and now revolutionizing the outdoor market. The open, lofty knit is made from 100% polyester, 78% of which is recycled. It offers an excellent warmth-to-weight ratio and delivers top performance during active movement.

  • At rest: Pair the hoodie with a lightweight wind or rain jacket. Your body heat is immediately retained in the open loft structure.

Care & Handling: How to Treat Alpha Direct

Alpha Direct ist ein ultraleichter Hochleistungsstoff. Er ist robust genug für den Outdoor-Einsatz, verlangt aber etwas Achtsamkeit, damit du lange Freude daran hast.

Care Instructions

✔ Gentle wash at 30 °C

✔ Use mild detergent

❌ Do not use fabric softener

❌ Do not tumble dry (dries extremely quickly)

❌ Do not iron

In use: Avoid direct contact with Velcro, thorny bushes, sharp rocks, or rough surfaces. As with all open-knit fabrics, slight pilling may occur over time – this does not affect the insulation performance.
