Advantages of a backpack liner
A backpack liner protects the contents of your backpack from water and dirt. Rain covers and dry bags are heavier than backpack liners. Additionally, a rain cover does not adequately protect the contents of your backpack from incoming water, as heavy rain can allow water to seep in through the uncovered parts of the backpack.
