Care Instructions

  • Wash at 30 °C (preferably in a laundry bag)
  • Use mild detergent, no fabric softener
  • Do not tumble dry – air drying is sufficient (dries very quickly)
  • Do not dry clean
  • Avoid contact with Velcro, thorns, or rough surfaces (pilling / snagging)
  • Keep away from fire

Note:
Slight pilling may occur over time with open-knit fabrics, but it does not affect thermal performance.

The Peak Alpha Direct Beanie is feather-light and barely noticeable when worn. Made from Polartec® Alpha® Direct 90, it is the ideal headwear for hikes or tours in warmer seasons, when a thick hat would be too much, but mornings, evenings, or mountain summits are still a bit chilly. At the same time, it can serve as an extra warmth boost in your sleeping bag or quilt. The material is wind-permeable, so I often pair it with a hood in strong wind, for example from a windproof jacket.
